Beekeeping
Love honey but afraid of getting stung? Not strong enough to lift a 100lb + deep of live bees and honey? Too busy to wrangle your own bees? No extractor, bottler, smoker? We can do it all for you. We put the bees on your building, in your community garden, on your estate, in your back yard, or wherever we agree works for you and works for the bees. You just sit back, we absorb the stings, and you get the honey. Write to us for more information.
Bee Doctor Consultations
Are you a beekeeper? Having trouble with your own bees? Need a helping hand with a hive? Have to move a hive from one location to another? Cannot diagnose a problem with your bees? Is your queen getting uppity? Just in over your head with your hive(s)? Andrew or one of his team can come to you and your bees and help you out. Bee Wrangling
Andrew has wrangled bees for the cover of Time Magazine (one of his bees graces the cover of Time Magazine below). He has assisted with on-camera bees or bee-related endeavors for the Dr. Oz Show, Late Night With David Letterman, Good Morning America, The Martha Stewart Show, The Today Show, and countless print ad campaigns, music videos and magazine covers. Andrew himself has also appeared in a Spike Lee-directed commercial narrated by Robert DeNiro (with a Jay Z soundtrack) and a Mercedes-Benz commercial. Speaking Engagements
Have Andrew come to speak to your classroom, congregation, garden club, beekeeping group, or anywhere people are interested in hearing about honeybees. Andrew is a dynamic speaker and has been featured on The Martha Stewart Show, Sanjay Gupta’s “The Next List”, Cake Boss, the BBC (radio and television), NPR (Leonard Lopate Show), PBS, CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, NHK, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Times of London, The Sydney Morning Herald, AP and Reuters articles worldwide, and many others, including television in Australia, Korea, Germany, France, Japan, and Russia. Andrew is available for worldwide travel and has spoken to groups in Fiji, Ireland, The United Kingdom, Uganda, Kenya, Iceland, Lithuania, UAE, and many other far-flung places. Swarm Removals
If you see a group of bees clustered like this on a branch between April and July, please e-mail us right away. We may be able to help. Send a photo of the swarm if possible and include a phone number. Also let us know of the height from the ground. Most of all, don’t worry too much. Honeybees are usually docile, and never more so when they swarm. They may look intimidating, but they are not out to hurt you. Just keep your distance and contact us.
Urban Honey Tours
If you would like an expert beekeeper to take you on a private tour of honeybee hives perched atop rooftops in Manhattan or other locations in NYC (or even Westchester County, Fairfield County, or Long Island), this may be for you. We can cater to individuals, couples, or small groups (no school groups yet, sorry, we don’t have enough veils to go around – but we can bring live bees to your school or large group – you can write about that, too). For further details, send us an e-mail. Include: the number of people, the day of the week or the exact date you would like to visit the beehives.
Veils and gloves provided. Swag out your Facebook photos. Impress your date. See New York City from a whole other vantage point. Taste a little honey. Tour comes with a jar of Andrew’s NYC rooftop honey included. May only be conducted when the weather is fine and at least 56F.
