Nucleus Hive ("Nuc")
We will have a limited number of 5-frame nucleus colonies(nucs) available this year. Each nuc will have a laying Italian queen with at least 3 frames of bees.
The 5 frames* will consist of:
MINIMUM 2 frames of brood though likely more up to five
1 frame of pollen
1 frame of honey
*We use deep frames.
Ordering Instructions
We are NOT shipping any bees. Nucs are for pick up in Norwalk, CT by appointment only. If you do not bring your own equipment to transfer the frames into, you can take our equipment but you’d have to leave a cash deposit and return the equipment within a week.
Notice About Weather & Pick-Up
Cancellation/Refunds
This purchase is non-refundable unless we are unable to fulfill your order due to circumstances out of our control. If something happens to the nucs and we can no longer fulfill them, we will refund the affected orders. Any circumstances not in our control, such as weather, your ability to pick up your bees, etc, are not valid reasons for a refund.
If you cannot pick up your nuc, please consider asking someone else to pick it up for you or find someone to take over your package. If you do this, please contact us immediately so we can collect the new customer's information and contact them.
If you just cancel, your payment will be forfeited. NO EXCEPTIONS. Please make sure you are able to collect your bees if you purchase them.

We are not responsible for the mishandling or death of the bees after you receive them. You are strongly encouraged to follow our installation instructions completely. We are here to answer questions and help you be successful, so please let us know if you need help.
